Track Name: They
They've gone and they've put us in a room full of corners
They've built a city full of dead ends
And roads that take you to a different place each time you walk them
Then once I get my bearings they go and
They redraw the maps
They've gone and they've kicked our chairs our from under us
They've gone and they've pulled the rug out from under us
They come in while we're our and rearrange the furniture
And turn forward the clock, but just two minutes at a time
They redraw the maps
They changed the locks and painted their name on the mailbox
You'll come back to find your friends and wife don't recognize you
They'll hand you a noose and convince you it's a necktie
They redraw the maps
They redraw the maps
Track Name: When the Wind Blows
We live in a place that the maps can't catch
We spend the days up in the trees free from math
When the wind blows, it brings us what we need
We live in a place where the kids have no childhood
Their little bodies try and grow but they can't
Their little heads try and learn some things
But wisdom is the trickiest prey to catch
It hangs around the steep cliffs and big waves
Many know its scent but few have ever tasted it
When the wind blows, it brings us what we need
When the weeds grow, they trap us food to eat
Sticks and stones build a fire and houses where we sleep
We spend the nights trapped in sleep and counting sheep
We dream of sleeves of hair and adult teeth
When the wind blows, it brings us what we need
Track Name: Don't Get Comfortable
I unthawed your footsteps in the snow
And traced them back to our burned down house
A misplaced limping sparrow kept me company
When I walked the trees all bent toward me
And reached their branches out against me
As if to collect something I owed but didn't know I had
In a creaking whisper they spoke, they said
Don't get too comfortable
Don't count on anything 'till you have it in your hands
Keep your necktie tight
And keep your wish list concise
I thought I found your fears rolled up in my sleeve
I thought I found your shadow folded up between the sheets
And I was weary enough to believe I heard it speak
In a clinking tin can voice that rings still in my ears it said
Keep your head on
You'll get to where I am in the end
No need to worry how or when
You'll find out eventually
Track Name: Owls
We aged ten years in a day, pocket knives
And popguns now pistols and rum
It was a quick exit from childhood
The clicking keys type away our fate
Can we give it back can you take it away?
Can you tear it up and send us on our way?
The crows feet landed beneath your eyes
And from that day my hair grew out grey
The first and only time I ever prayed
Shoes for my pillow, sleeping on the
Cement floor when they separated us
Didn't think I could miss a man that much
Our fingers are coloured in ink
They're gone they're not ours any more
Forever glued to the things we stole
Shoes for my pillow, sleeping on the
Cement floor, I'd go back if I could but we've
Shut the door on our childhood
Track Name: A Home for Unwanted Snakes
If you're tired of sleeping
And you have no place to wander to
If the working week offers nothing to you
And your hands have talents that can't be used
We don't want good men, no no
We don't want good men, no no
If you're tired of people asking
Did your day job paid for that house?
If you have an itch
That the woman in your life can't scratch
We don't want good men, no no
We don't want good men
The skin needs a new kind of touch
Come on out and run with us
We're out looking for the next rush
What the body wants the body takes
What the body wants the body takes
Track Name: The Dogs
I lay my bones down in a little room in a little town
But my eyes won't sleep or my thoughts won't let them keep shut, keep shut
Please don't let the dogs bark tonight, please help me forget my old boy
Bruises I don't know where they're from
Am I picking fights in my sleep now
Have I run out of people to offend
Did I torch all the bridges before I crossed them
Please don't let the dogs bark tonight, please help me forget my old boy
